As
Technical Director for the Branham Awards, my role was to oversea all of the
Audio-Video
requirements of the gala as well as to direct the evening's video programming.
The Branham Awards
recognizes and honours excellence from Canadas leading information technology
companies. The
awards were presented October 27th 2001at a black-tie Gala in the Great Hall
of the National Gallery
of Canada. This first annual networking event gathered over 400 CEOs, Presidents
and senior level
executives of IT companies across Canada.
Québec
City was the setting for the 2001 Summit of the Americas. Digital Sync was hired
by Expographiq to help with the technical supervision of the information booths
of Canada and OAS Pavilion. 7 Sattelite feeds from accros the world, a cyber
café and video coverage of the event were all part of our daily activities
at the 2001 Summit.
As
Technical Director for the Ottawa Special Olympics -Winter Games Opening Ceremonies,
I was responsible for eight broadcast cameras feeding giant projection screens,
as well as video playback for the many performers appearing on stage. The event
was a succes and all of the Olympians were part of an unforgettable evening.
As
a member of Expographiq's technical team for this traveling trade show kiosk
for the Government of Canada, my role was to install and maintain all video
and computer equipment as well as implement an Local Area Network for access
to the world wide web. The kiosk is designed to inform Canadians on all of the
Government's departments and the services they offer.
As
Technical Director for the O.C.H.B.A Award Ceremonies, I was responsible, for
managing the video techincal equipment, directing all broadcast cameras feeding
two giant projection screens, as well as providing appropriate video playback
used to introduce all of the award winners. The event was a succes and all of
the participants were part of a memorable evening.
